The customer is a mid size IT company based in Virginia, US which sells IT solutions to customers in the transportation sector and has its development office based in Asia. Due to the time difference and the senior management located in the US, the off-shore office struggled with delivery of projects and the attrition rate of the employees was quite high due to lack of engagement and weak HR system.

Our Solution
We offered a complete Organizational Transformation program that would address all aspects of human development and improve the overall environment and productivity of the offshore team.
The program started with a detailed discovery and analysis of the prevailing work environment and challenges faced by the employees and their expectations. All key employees were interviewed, and a few surveys were conducted which clearly identified the key issues such as communication, work environment, policies, compensation structure and lack of engagement with the management.
After agreeing on the action plan with the management, Playtorium started the implementation by simultaneously starting on multiple fronts. The most important area was local HR and Administration. A seasoned Senior Manager was hired which helped in formulating new policies and processes which were widely shared to clearly communicate career development and complaint redressal plans. The office space was given a complete uplift by redesigning the flooring plan, seating, furniture and adding colors and entertainment to the environment.
Team building activities started and a calendar was issued that would cover monthly, quarterly, and annual events in addition to the introduction of a game room and cafeteria in the office. A PMO office was set up to closely monitor the timelines and performance of ongoing projects. New highly skilled talent was hired, and non-performers were let go.
The Impact
The overall productivity improved, the employee satisfaction improved to almost double and attrition rate reduced to 12% vs 33% within a year.
